I can’t recall ever going to Bedfordshire.

Going up the wooden hills to Bedfordshire is a saying I grew up with, the wooden hills are the stairs and Bedfordshire is bed.

You can leave it as that or add bits like slumber for sleep or ‘catch some zzz’s’ or ‘to get 40 winks’.
